Miep Gies risked her life to hide and help feed Anne Frank and her family. She carefully guarded Anne's diary after it was discovered until Anne's father returned from the prison camps. A true angel.

For eight Jewish people in hiding at Prinsengracht 263 in Amsterdam, a more than 2 year period of hiding came to an end on the warm summer's day of August 4, 1944. The doors to the stockroom stood open, and the first to enter was the Austrian Nazi SS Oberscharführer Karl Silberbauer, followed by the Dutch NSB members (Dutch national socialists, allied to the Nazis) Gezinus Gringhuis, Willem Grootendorst and Maarten Kuiper.

This was Otto franks work and this is where eight people hide for almost 2 years !

Anne Frank. What remarkable spirit she had.  She died of typhus within days of her sister.  It was her Father Otto who discovered her diary and took action to have it published.  She and her family were i hiding for TWO YEARS. The diary was given to Anne Frank for her thirteenth birthday and chronicles the events of her life from June 12, 1942 until its final entry of August 1, 1944.

Anne Frank is the main character of The Diary of Anne Frank. She had a remarkable spirit. Even though the she knew her life was in constant danger she always had a positive attitude on life, she is very inspiring to many girls today.
