Saw this at the Bodies Exhibit. Blood vessels are injected with a formula that hardens them like plaster, then they literally soak the organ in acid so everything is eaten away except for the vessels. What's left is amazing!
Dinoflagellates are tiny bioluminescent marine plankton. A 'bloom' (heavy concentration) of dinoflagellates can result in the visible coloration of seawater known as a red tide, which can be poisonous to humans who consume contaminated shellfish.
