Where is the single highest mountain in our solar system? It’s on Mars, the super-giant volcano Olympus Mons (Mt Olympus). At 14 miles high and 388 miles across, it is almost 3 times as high as Mt Everest, so wide its base would cover Arizona, or the whole of Britain. The crater is easily large enough to swallow London. However Olympos Mons doesn’t conform to people’s idea of a mountain; its sides are so slightly inclined, you wouldn’t even break a sweat if you climbed it.

The Earth as seen from Mars. And u are rotating at 1,000 mph, hurling thru space at 67,000 mph hanging by your feet on a round ball. Yikes what is there to be afraid of then.

Last panoramic from Curiosity Rover, on Mars. Just think about how long those rocks have been there, untouched, in the exact same spot for who knows how many years.
