For me, 2016 will always be remembered as the year the Cubs finally won. Cut through the presidential election, the never-ending violence, the protests, the myriad of celebrities who’ve died, and this is the one thing that has brought happiness to the lives of so many across this country. The curse is no more. Think about that. No more goat jokes. No more 108-year references. No more “Wait until next year.” The century-old drought is over. The Cubs are World Series champions.
