If you let your mind into the book, it works.  Sometimes too well.

We read five word on the first page of a really good novel and we begin to forget that we are reading printed words on a page; we begin to see images.

Innocent Blood” by James Rollins and Rebecca Cantrell Sadly, this sequel falls into the over the top, back to back action scenes and traveling around the world that has become prevalent with Rollins’ recent books, and lacks the compelling history and storytelling of Blood Gospel. Nevertheless, Innocent Blood represents an interesting next chapter in the Order of the Sanguines series that ends on a nail-biting cliffhanger.
