"Gua Bao" -steamed asian buns filled with - pulled chicken - chinese pickle - crushed peanuts.

The infamous, the notorious, the little bite of heaven brought to fame by Momofuku, (drumroll) the~~ Taiwanese GUA BAO!  ……………………….   Oh wait, that’s right.  You don’t recognize him.  Perhaps because he’s mistakenly known as “the pork bun” or just… “bao”.

Who Took the “Gua” out of “Bao”?

Gua Bao - pulled chicken (I'd substitute pork) with homemade buns. Add a little duck fat to the buns, and this could be heaven.

Here is the sandwich recipe withe the buns I made in the previous post. Unlike the regular sandwiches, the bread in this is steamed so the feel of this sandwich is much smoother, softer and gentler.
