Care packages = SMILES for our deployed troops!

Dear Operation Gratitude: I am a platoon leader in a cavalry troop deployed to Afghanistan. Words can't describe how great for morale it was to have all our soldiers receive your care packages. In fact, Operation Gratitude supplied several of these soldiers with their first care package from the States. We all enjoyed the mix of treats, hygiene items, and especially the letters from your volunteers. Please accept the pictures attached as a thank you for all that your organization does. 1LT…

“...We all received Operation Gratitude packages and are thrilled about what you guys do, and how much of an impact you have on the troops all over the world. We just wanted to send you our picture…which may have a few items that look familiar to you. Even though using a hat and/or scarf would be highly unlikely being so close to the equator, rest assured, your wares have not been wasted on us. Enjoy your holidays and again, thanks for all that you do for our troops! V/R, 1LT P.D.”
