Dresser, Second half of the 15th century, France. Oak, copper, iron; carved, painted and gilt. Altered and embellished in the 19th century. Undoubtedly authentic are the carving on the central panel under the cornice showing St Barbara, St Mary Magdalene and St Catherine, and the scenes of the Annunciation and Adoration of the Magi on the cupboard doors, as well as the ornamental carving which combines elements of Gothic and Renaissance patterns.

A Regency mahogany footstool, Manner of Thomas Hope the square green-velvet upholstered seat above a conforming frame with palmette corners above a frieze centered by a foliate lozenge flanked by flowerheads, the apron carved with crossed flowers raised on palmette carved bracket feet centered by flowerheads; with pencilled inscription T Palle... and chalked number 6120-20 to interior.
Continental Renaissance Style Walnut Cabinet on Stand The hinged fall front carved with a relief of a figure on a river bank within a scrolling border flanked by caryatids, above one drawer, raised on cabriole legs surmounted by masks and joined by a shield-form stretcher, ending in scrolling toes.
