This article really puts into perspective the importance of using multicultural books in the classroom on a regular basis. It reports that only 3% of children's books are written by or are about Latinos, yet almost 25% of students are Latino. It's our duty as educators to help students find themselves in the literature that we read and to help them understand and appreciate the differences in cultures that make students unique.

This is just one of those kids books that even an adult can appreciate. The cows have found a typewriter, and have decided to go on strike until their demand for electric blankets to keep them warm through the night is met. Hilarious.
