Food Freaks Grilled Cheese - Short Rib: This sandwich consists of short rib, gruyere, pickled red onions, blackberry jam, and watercress on sourdough and is the grilled cheese that makes you go out of your way to go to Brooklyn. The combination of flavors here will absolutely make your taste buds “freak out” in a good way.

Food Freaks Grilled Cheese - The Fort Greene: This one consists of fontinella, bacon, avocado and cilantro sauce on sourdough. Just look at that cheese oozing out. This sandwich really leaves you satisfied. The avocado chunks are large, the bacon is crispy and smokey and that cilantro sauce again brings it all together.

Umami Burger – Manly Burger: This is a beef burger with beer-cheddar cheese, bacon lardons, smoked-salt onion strings, with ketchup and mustard. Yup this is a heart-attack on a bun, but a pretty damn good heart-attack. It almost sounds like it would all be too much, and though I can’t remember the individual flavors of anything, it all came together for some perfect, smoky Umami bites.

Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen – Chicken Biscuit: The biscuit is really warm, fluffy and buttery and seems to just absorb the chicken into its hold. The chicken is fried perfectly, has a great seasoning and is really moist on the inside. With the cheese, it was an additional salty flavor that helped to meld the sandwich together. Seriously though, this is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever consumed. I challenge anyone to find a better chicken biscuit.

Grilled Mozzarella Sandwiches on garlic bread, serve with a side of marinara.I didn't actually use Martha's recipe - just made grilled cheese sandwiches w/mozzarella inside & garlic butter outside. They were wonderful!
