Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal North Pierhead Lighthouse- and all the lighthouses in Door County, Wisconsin The original pier head light was first lit in 1882. In 1903 the current structure was built combining the light tower and fog signal into one building. An active aid to navigation, this lighthouse may be seen from Sturgeon Bay Canal Park, immediately to the south of the canal.
Ashtabula Harbor Lighthouse is located near the northern end of the west breakwater in Ashtabula Harbor. Though the current lighthouse is over a century old, it is not the first to stand watch over the harbor.
Grand Traverse Lighthouse located at the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula on Cathead Bay, near the village of Northport, MI. This is one of the oldest lighthouses on the Great Lakes, guiding ships through the northern entrance to the Manitou Passage for 150 years. It is now a museum surrounded by a state park where visitors can envision the once-isolated life of lighthouse keepers and their families, with extensive exhibits and period furnishings from the 1920's-30's.
