Wilhelm Friedrich Boger was one the worst criminals and torturers Nazi Germany produced during the war. As "The Tiger of Auschwitz," he was responsible for the horrific deaths of hundreds of prisoners with the use of the "Boger swing," a torture implement he used to turn his victims into pulp with a crowbar. Postwar, he escaped detection until 1959 when he was arrested. He died in prison in 1977 while serving a life sentence.
Ritchie Blackmore was a key ingredient to Deep Purple's success, there's no question. I still enjoy his stuff immensely and now also know that he started his career with a band called the Outlaws. I know someone else who''s first band went by that name.
