Fitness Basics 101: When beginning a new fitness program, there are many important factors to be aware of, regardless of your fitness level. These include a warm-up, stretching pre and post-workout, and rest periods in between sets. I am sure you are already thinking these factors are not important. Wrong! It is all right though; I did not think they were important either. Injury prevention is an important part of this program. Here are those factors I mentioned & why they are so important.
