7 August 1944 | 305 prisoners began work in the newly created sub-camp in Trzebinia located near the oil refinery Erdöl Raffinerie Trzebinia O/S. They began clearing rubble and repairing the damage after a heavy bombing attack. The sub-camp replaced a camp for about 200 British POWs who had just been sent to Lamsdorf POW camp. 300 prisoners were placed in the barracks they left behind then another 300 two weeks later and a further 200 in mid-September.
