Crockpot Fish Chowder: Cut fish into bite-site pieces. Saute bacon and onion. Put fish, bacon, and onion into crock pot. Add cubed potatoes, water, salt/pepper and cook for hours. Add evaporated milk during last hour
Slow Cooker Fish Chowder - great for a hunker down easy dinner on a cold winter night. Substituted turkey bacon, pollack, shrimp & mushrooms for the scallops. Add a fresh spring mix salad and corn bread on the side - yummy.
It's Sooo good, I use clam juice instead of chicken stock. I also used fish (white fish or salmon), 2 cans clams, shrimp and sometimes small scallops. You can sub coconut milk for (Healthy Low Carb Salmon)
