We had students do a Blue Zones Project-centric service for the Freshmen Orientation Service Morning.  Students focused on "Downshifting" & "Moving Naturally" by incorporating craft work, conversation and city sidewalk trash pick up into their morning

Healthy-living centenarian Marge Jetton of Loma Linda became the "poster girl" for the Loma Linda lifestyle that National Geographic's Dan Buettner highlighted in his book "The Blue Zones". Marge exercised vigorously daily and drove her car until well after her 100th birthday. She and her husband had been married for almost 77 years when he passed away in 2003, and were active in many ministry and church-related activities well past retirement. Marge passed away in Loma LInda at 106 in 2011.
