Let the models sit for a few hours to begin softening the old paint. Overnight is acceptable but paint thinner evaporates rapidly and will leave your models in a quickly hardening sludge of old paint. Models generally take two or three dip and scrubs.
Surgical forceps are an essential part of my modelling kit and they last forever. Two of these were used in the delivery of my baby daughter but after a good wash they're good to go. Gold base coat is down.
This isn't plastic shit like I was expecting, this is like, real steel over my bedroom window. I'm sure the sacrifice will be worth it.
