DIY Arm Knitting a Blanket Tutorial from Simply Maggie. The pattern for this DIY Arm Knitting a Blanket is so simple: cast on, knit, bind off. TIP: Read the comments for questions you may have about the yarn, where to buy the yarn etc… Here is the DIY.
Forgot to post this the other day - waiting room knitting! This is a pattern I've been kicking around for a couple of years. I'm working on it now and having it test knit by another and will release the pattern in November (it'll be available through Ravelry). A toe-up cabled sock with instructions for both an afterthought heel and a backwards heel flap. Sort of like choose-your-own-adventure for knitters!
Where has this been all my life? - For yarn… I saw this trick in an issue of Real Simple magazine and couldn’t wait to test it out. Stringing yarn through a kitchen colander prevents it from getting tangled while you’re knitting. Brilliant, no?
My Tear Buddy journey began in February 2014. I had recently been diagnosed with eye cancer. While sitting in the waiting room, I heard the cries of a small child receiving dilation drops. I thought about what it would be like as a child experiencing all of the tests. It would be terrifying! Suddenly I imagined the washcloth I was knitting turning into a bunny. Thus, the Tear Buddies were born.
