The first building in Fargo was built on July 5 1896, built by E Sweet Jr., it was later moved to 4th street where it served as a hotel and a jail, it was bought by a family and lived in until 1952.  It was donated to Bonazaville in West Fargo and restored to it's orginal appearance in 1980 and is preserved as Fargo's oldest existing wooden structure
