Lovely Art Deco postcard illustration from the 1920s. This image and the other in this series are softer in style, not as crisply realistic.

The set is titled Flora's Retinue, the six tiles are Bluebell, Anemone, Columbine, Daffodil, Poppy, and Cornflower.

Walter Crane (1845-1915) was a British book illustrator, but in 1900 he designed this set of tiles for the Pilkington Tile & Pottery Company. The set is titled Flora's Retinue, the six tiles (in order) are Bluebell, Anemone, Columbine, Daffodil, Poppy, and Cornflower. Something about working with incised ceramic tile brought out an affinity ane for Art Nouveau in Crane's style that is not readily apparent tin his other works. The tiles are in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum
