1931 DuPont Model H Merrimac Sport Phaeton - DuPonts were luxury cars built between 1919 - 1931. The Model H was a straight 8 cylinder car displacing 331 ci. This car was specifically built for the New York Auto Show in 1931. Only 3 Model H cars were built due to the Great Depression. Production was suspended until the economy got better but like so many other U.S. makes at the time they just ceased to exist. This one has a Lalique hood ornament and Trippe driving lights.
