Arrival of the U.S. 1st Cavalry Division (Air Mobile) in Vietnam. The 15,800 men and 424 Helicopters and Planes disembarked at Qui Nhon and then immediately moved inland by air and convoy to their assigned tactical operations area at An Khe. 09/14/1965
2/22/1968-Hue, South Vietnam: Two members of the First Air Cavalry drag a wounded GI across Highway 1, after being ambushed by Communist forces. The cavalrymen were moving south toward Hue when the attack occurred.
