NASCAR driver Tiny Lund coasted his red and white Wood Brothers Ford Galaxy to victory at the 24 February 1963 Daytona 500. The Wood Brothers team had a winning strategy for the race – they planned to complete the race on one fuel stop less than the field. Lund managed to take the lead very late in the race, ran out of gas on the final lap, and coasted across the finish line to take the win.
