Papaver somniferum (Paeoniiflorum Group) poppy 'Black Beauty'- stunningly beautiful. Near black fully double flowers rise on tall stems. And after the flower the seed heads form which look similarly wonderful. This hardy annual grows 2-3' tall and flowers from June-August. Growing in full sun, It is an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
