Space 1999 - This was a show from the mid 1970's. I used to watch this with my dad, a huge Sci-Fi fan. The story is about a Moon Base (Alpha) and all the people living on it that face creatures from space. Sure it was cheesy. Yes, I do have the set on DVD. Lovin' those polyester jumpsuits :)
Space mission impossible: Humans act like puppets in a 70s Gerry and Sylvia Anderson series set in the future. When toxic waste knocks the Moon out of its orbit, a research crew (led by "Rollin Hand and Cinnamon Carter") boldly goes where no planet has gone before.
This television Sci-Fi adventure (forty-eight programs all together) was on television from 1973 to 1975 and projected to take place in the distant future (1999, now the distant past) takes place on a rogue moon set adrift in space by a thermonuclear explosion, I have to admit I did enjoy watching this series when it ran in syndication.
Space: 1999 (1975–1977) The crew of Moonbase Alpha must struggle to survive when a massive explosion throws the Moon from orbit into deep space. Creators: Gerry Anderson, Sylvia Anderson Stars: Martin Landau, Barbara Bain, Zienia Merton and Nick Tate
