Every time I revisit the story about Ruby Bridges it reminds me of all the children who suffered, like myself as well, so much prejudice and discrimination and bias from those whose duty it was to nurture and protect.

Ruby Bridges - an American hero. She is still around - and so are all the Conservatives who screamed and threw things at her and the other heroic CHILDREN.

Snow-covered body Valentina Polyakova, Kryukovskay, a high school teacher, who was executed by the Germans December 1, 1941 in the school garden.  She was 27 years old. She taught Russian.  After liberation, Kryukov VI  Polyakov was buried at the school gate, and later reburied in the  St. Andrew Cemetery.
