The Paria Mountains' 18 miles from Kanab, Utah in Hwy 89. Paria Wilderness, Utah, USA. These mountains are found beside a dirt road that connects to Highway 89 just before the Paria River. Hwy 89 takes you from Kanab Utah to Page Arizona. The side of the mountains have spectacular colors (better that the Grand Canyon, Bryce, the Painted Dessert, the slot canyons and even White Pocket) due to their encrusted minerals like iron oxides, manganese, cobalt and others that geologists describe.
Utah hikes! I've already done Coyote Gulch backpacking (which was awesome), the Queen's Garden trail at Bryce, some of the Narrows, and multiple slot canyons in Escalante. Hoping to get to Angel's Landing in October!
Just 13 miles from the south entrance to Zion National Park, the Zion River Resort is popular with tourists. This RV resort has full hook-ups, concrete parking pads, grills and free Wi-Fi. After exploring the red sandstone cliffs at Utah's first national park, you can also use this campground as a base for day-trips to explore Bryce Canyon National Park and the north rim of the Grand Canyon.
