Catherine Walker designed this long dinner dress for the Princess of Wales in 1992. The dress has cream silk bodice and salmon-pink silk skirt. The original design had a low-cut V neck, but Diana thought it was too revealing so she asked for the insert to be sewn in. Diana wore it to the London Coliseum on July 7, 1992 for a performance of Coppelia by the Australian ballet. She also wore it on July 8, 1993 on a visit to Mudchute Park and Farm. Lot #71 raised $ 25,300 for Diana's charities.
