A case study from Labour Action China. A victim called Chen* left her village to work in a factory. After 7 years was found to be suffering from lung disease and was given leave for treatment. Factory then refused to pay her salary. Had to borrow 10,000 yen to recieve treatment and had no future hopes before hearing of the LAC and learning how to claim and demand rights for occupational disease.
