ENTHRALLED - Came upon a mesmerizing tree that had fallen into the space just above the raging waterfalls at Shohola Recreation Area. Rain and snow swelled the flow, causing the spidery upper limbs to develop clinging ice robes. The energy of the rush dragged a branch into the moving water. It would swish downward toward the falls, then spring free and launch back into the sky, in a rhythmic circular repetitive motion of thrashing ice crystals and arcing spray. Hypnotic to watch...
