The first DB5 Shooting Break was authorized by and built for Aston Martin president David Brown to transport his dogs and guns on hunting excursions. A handful of wealthy Aston clients expressed their interest in also having DB5 Shooting Brakes built for themselves, Brown entrusted the manufacture of twelve additional Shooting Brakes be built by Radford. Aston Martin continues the tradition of manufacturing a very limited edition Shooting Brake with each new generation.
