26/1/15- today we went to the pitts rivers museum in oxford. I found it extremely useful and interesting, there was so much stuff to look at! I was really interested in the patterns on the textile items, as many were hand stitched. And the masks- I could start researching masks and make some?The old mouse traps i thought were interesting too. seeing the coat made of seal stomach made me think of making something out of plastic bags.

Soft colors play off of each other; hand embroidered threads outline the prints; and then the edges are hand finished with yet another chain stitch.
