Frescoes in the Abbey of San Donato, Sesto Calende, Varese, Italy  The sixteenth-century frescoes of the Abbey of St. Donato in Sesto Calende have been painted by Cesare da Sesto (1477-1523), whereas the eighteen-century scenes are attributed to Biagio Bellotti (1714-1789) and to Giuseppe Baroffio. This is the Madonna del latte or Madonna del pilastrino.
