Christ in the Garden of Olives, Gauguin, 1889. Note the red hair of the Christ / Gauguin self-portrait hybrid, the colour of which has been described as "supernaturally red", and as with the jug object directly evokes van Gogh.
Mulberry Tree, c.1889 by Vincent van Gogh. Finished in 1889, less than one year before Van Gogh's death, "Mulberry Tree" was painted while Van Gogh was in the Saint-Remy asylum. He was allowed short, supervised outdoor walks during this time, and he painted many trees including cypresses and olives, as they were his only available physical subject-matter.
