"It's past the 100th day of school and just about EVERY teacher I know has come to that "ugh, it's that dreadful time of year..." state of mind that happens every single year. Personal lives, caring for students, evaluations, testing, the overwhelming amount of stuff that needs to get done. It's February and we are slowly withering away."
I've heard reunions can be fun, but I've also heard they're mostly a venue for showing off and answering shallow curiosities. People don't change that much unless they intentionally rise to meet life's challenges, so... most don't really change. The friendships I've got from that long-ago chapter are still with me now — but they've been threads, not add-ons.
