Ford - Ferrari War - Daytona 1965 This is the 1965 Daytona 2000 Km. race and 1965 was right in the middle of what we call The Ford - Ferrari War. On the grid is the #72 Ford GT40 of Bob Bondurant and Richie Ginther. Bob is looking over at the NART Ferrari 330 P2 of John Surtees (in car) and Pedro Rodriguez. Both men are looking at each other and you have to wonder what they were thinking.
1962 Sebring - NART Ferrari Dino 246S Pedro Rodriguez, Bob Grossman and Alan Connell drove this NART Ferrari Dino 246 S at Sebring in 1962. They failed to finish due to oil pressure problems. Rodriguez was 22-years-old when he drove at Sebring but was already an experienced driver having started his racing career in motorcycles at the age of 13 and race cars, Ferrari, at the age of 15.
