Being happy is a personal thing, an ongoing state not an end point, an attitude not an expression, something we have and not an object of pursuit. Happiness does not come with material excess; it costs nothing. Much like personal revelations, personal experiences; even if the exact external circumstances happened to everyone, the level of happiness one feels is regulated wholly by one's own sense of appreciation, thankfulness, an awareness that no one else but you will experience.
