Art History. Roy Lichtenstein in his studio. Lichtenstein was born on October 27, 1923 in a Jewish family. As a boy he was not a comic book fan although later, comic strips would provide inspiration for his best works. Initially he worked in Cubism and Abstract Expressionism.
