Yesterdays project done~packing tape/cheesecloth reaper. Cost-under 8 bucks & it looks amazing in person! It will end up on a 6&1/2 ft black PVC pole. The floor lamp 'stand' is temporary for the pic. I used a male body form from a yard sale, a styrofoam head & my husbands arms for the packing tape, reinforcing the arm/head to body connections. Blacked out the arms & face with spray paint. Started draping cheesecloth. Used 2 rolls of tape from Dollar Store & 2&1/2 pkgs of cheesecloth.

Body bag turned out well. Stuffed jeans & shirt, Pinned together. Put shoes in the bottom of the garbage bag, foam head from wig store on top. This took two garbage bags that I ducked taped with black tape. Yellow twine that I had laying around was tied like you wrap a pot roast. Fun project & it really scared the people that used the bathroom at the party. Some said they poked it to make sure it didn't move, others had to close the curtain. Blood from $ tree window clings.

Check out this video tutorial on how to make cheap dragon wings, controlled by body posture. You can do this project for $18 if you use plastic garbage bags and Scotch tape for the membranes. You'll see how to make very light and strong costume wings. How strong? That strong. Supplies! This sums up that the wing is made of a PVC skeleton, controlled by wire, and then fleshed out with a wing membrane and hundreds of scales. The membrane may be your cheapest part—if you use black trash bags or…

Valentine Box made from a big shoe box(body), bog poptart box (head), microwave mac n cheese bowl (nose), and 4 toilet paper rolls (feet). I cut slits and holes in the face and head, also a flap in the back end, so that the Valentine's could be put in the mouth, falling into the belly of the zebra and retrieved from the butt of the zebra by lifting it's tail (made from black electrical tape). We found the zebra print wrapping paper at the DG. Ears are cut from cardboard and mouth is wrapped…

The preschool class at the Bright Horizons at Apex, in Apex , NC learned to recognize properties of living things through their shark project. They began by reading the "Amazing Sharks!" book and learning the common properties of fish in their Weekly Reader. Then they constructed the shape of a shark with recyclable materials and duct tape. They used paper mache to complete the shark body, which they painted gray, white and black. They pasted on google eyes for the finishing touch.
