Evening Dress, designer unknown, purchased at Quinn-Maahs, Cleveland, about 1925 Yellow silk chiffon and taffeta With its floating panels and appliquéd petals, this feminine dress was almost certainly intended for dancing. Though its designer is unknown, Phyllis Peckham purchased the dress from the Euclid Avenue retailer Quinn-Maahs, which was considered one of Cleveland’s premiere shops for stylish women’s fashions.
