MEDIEVAL SPAIN - Camino de Santiago 2014 -. The Camino de Santiago. Way of St. James, is the name of any of the pilgrimage routes, known as pilgrim ways, (most commonly the Camino Francés or French route) to the shrine of the apostle St. James the Great in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain, where tradition has it that the remains of the saint are buried. Many take up this route as a form of spiritual path or retreat for their spiritual growth.

DAY 2: RONCESVALLES - VILLAVA  My second day of the St. James Way started a bit earlier than the day  before, after wishing the best to the amazing Vicente (see Day 1 Part 2) my  initial plan was to at least reach Pamplona or nearby.  Departing Roncesvalles with a tree full path, I really started to enjoy the  beauty of nature without the steepness of the day before. My new first  encounter was in Bizkarreta, where I met Jose and he recommended me a great  place to eat in Zubiri...
