In one of their biggest stylistic challenges yet, our fearless Fixer Upper duo has a tall order to fill when a couple moving from Denver wants a country retreat — but a house with thoroughly modern style. See what happens when Joanna gives up shiplap (well, mostly) in favor of lots and lots of concrete.
White bi-fold kitchen patio doors completed with plantation shutters are flanked by white cabinets topped with stainless steel countertops sat against white staggered backsplash tiles accented with black mounted shelves positioned below shiplap covered upper walls while a small kitchen sink is finished with a polished nickel faucet.
When this sweet client was going through the building process, we stood in this room on a cold winter day discussing how the shiplap detail would be completed above the fireplace. And then we thought better of it, and decided the whole wall should be shiplap. Why fiddle around with a few feet when you can have a whole wall of glory?? (️Tap photo for sources) #canigetanamen#
