Treaty of Ghent- The Treaty of Ghent was a treaty signed between the United States and Great Britain, ending the War of 1812. It was signed in Ghent, Belgium. In the treaty, the British agreed to evacuate their western posts. The British did not pursue a buffer state for neutral Indian people in the Northwest and the treaty didn't address neutrality or impressment; the two major causes of the War of 1812.
