Urban Moment #4- The Gig Toronto has one of the most popular Jazz festivals in North America. The setting is in one of Toronto's well-known and important hangouts for live music. As a musician, I have an appreciation for instrumental music and want to pass on this moment to the viewer.
Urban Moment #3 - Chess at the Park Acrylic on Canvas. Chess is my favorite game because it is so strategic and empowering in many ways. I wanted to paint a community setting that involves a game that I play everyday. This is a central part of my "Urban Moment Series".
Urban Moment #5- Caribbean Cuisine This painting was inspired after a travel to Cuba. The resort had exceptional food. Who doesn't like good food? There is a enlightening and vibrant nature in the Caribbean. The Caribbean is one of the areas that I visit the most.
Urban Moment #6 Soccer is a favorite childhood school-yard game that I played while growing up in Canada. I also played in Little League. In Jamaica, where my parents are from, I had the chance to capture a group of boys playing, which is a pastime there. In many ways, it reminded me of when I was their age.
One Mile to Havana This is another piece in the Urban Moment Series that was inspired by traveling to Cuba. The iconic classic cars and warm climate is something that I was eager to paint upon my return.
Morning Tour While in the heart of Havana, Cuba, I had the chance to see many interesting forms of transportation. There are many ways to see the city and it's shops and architecture, and the carriage was one that I thought was worth including in a painting.
