The Swagtastic Virtual Races is a virtual event that benefits Medals4Mettle! Sign up at www.swagtasticrace.com The first 300 participants are mailed a great swag box. Run or walk your race between 7/4 and 7/8. Do it in one day, or break it up into a couple of days. Do your race outside or on a treadmill. All participants that report their finish times are entered in a virtual door prize drawing.
After the the 2011 26.2 with Donna National Breast Cancer Marathon, one of our Medals4Mettle volunteers walked around for two hours holding this sign, and 57 runners who had just finished their race donated their medals to be given to fighters and survivors of breast cancer!
Medals4Mettle Japan - Over 300 finisher medals were gifted at the 2011 Osaka Ultra 100km May 21-23. Yoshiko Jo reports 130 + medals were collected the first day, including ten medals earned by blind runner Mr. Miyamoto, who completes races with his guide.
