Hemba Stool- Exceptional sculptural stools were reserved for and used by chiefs and kings. The seat is supported by both male & female ancestral figures. Stools are still used today as seats of power and prestige.   Provenance: Ex Private Collection. Collected about 50 years ago by a Belgian living in the D.R. Congo.   18" high, 13" in diameter.
