Buy a 15 gallon wash pail from Lowe's. Get four bricks, Put the bricks inside the pail. Spread them out flat, to cover the bottom of the pail, and then set your logs on top of the bricks. This allows for airflow under your logs to keep the fire going.
First-rate fire starters: Pack sawdust into paper muffin cups or a cardboard egg carton. Melt old candles or paraffin, pour over the sawdust & allow to cool. Burn slow when lit but make great starters for a fireplace or campfire.
