Swallows hair comb by Rene Lalique. He made this out of one piece of horn, which was light on the bottom and dark on the top. Three painted-horn swallows with diamonds above their wings rest on the lighter horn base, which has etched drawings of swallows. The horn becomes one color as both parts melt into the tines. c. 1902. This was shown at the hair comb museum in Hakone Japan.
