Ashmore Estates, Illinois: A young girl named Elva Skinner is believed to appear as a full bodied apparition. Elva was the victim of a fire that damaged a building that used to stand on the property in 1880. A second entity called Kentucky Joe is described as wearing a top hat. A third ghost, usually referred to as “Jumper,” has also been reported. Jumper is believed to be the spirit of a doctor who plummeted to his death after jumping from one of the windows on the property.
Pictures taken by Kevin Horkin at Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales and may have captured a spirit. Kevin didn’t notice anything unusual until he downloaded the pictures to his PC. In one of the photos was the image of a pale young woman looking out a window. Amazingly, it’s impossible for anyone to stand at that particular window because the floor in the room is completely destroyed.
The Villisca House activity begins around 2:00 am when a train passes through the town of Villisca. The whistle of the train is thought to trigger the residual events of the murder that took place on June 10, 1912. It is widely believed that the killer(s) used the masking sound of the locomotive to sneak throughout the house and murder all its inhabitants, one by one. Many investigators have noticed a light fog filling up the master bedroom at the point when the train whistle is first heard.
