Advent 2013 resources and reflections - Advent, beginning this year on Dec. 1, is the four-week season of anticipation and preparation for Christ’s birth, a time when the Episcopal Church’s Book of Common Prayer petitions that God “give us grace that we may cast away the works of darkness, and put upon us the armor of light.” Here are resources for giving and getting ready in this holy season.
The Thoughts That Are Always On Repeat: An Advent Sermon
Here’s a suggestion: we could all take a rest from trying to be better persons, we could take a rest from our projects of self improvement long enough to comprehend how magnificent we already are. We could wait until next year to be a better person. Today, we could genuflect in awe before the wonder of our own incarnate existence. -Br. Mark Brown
Diciembre 10 #AdventWord #Despertar || ¡Despertar y ver! Ese es el mensaje de Adviento.
